Programs Available
Arizona Applicant Academy :
This is a program dedicated for students planning to apply for the University of Arizona College of Medicine. It is an academy that provides workshops for pre-medical students who want to pursue a career in medicine. The workshops will be held on campus.

Arizona Maximizing Medical Education Potential :
The Arizona Maximizing Medical Education Potential (AZ MMEP) is an innovative summer workshop for premedical students to improve academic skills in the critical early stage of their premedical curriculum.

Fostering and Achieving Cultural Equality & Sensitivity (F.A.C.E.S.) : Conversantes Internship
The F.A.C.E.S. Conversantes is a service-learning course for bilingual, Spanish-speaking, undergraduate students interested in pursuing a health-related profession. Students in the class are matriculated at either the University of Arizona or Pima Community College. In addition to becoming familiar with medical terminology and medical interpretation techniques, they are required to volunteer as Spanish interpreters in local clinics, and assist medical students learning medical Spanish.

The F.A.C.E.S. Internship is an undergraduate course for students that are enrolled at either The University of Arizona or Pima Community College. The internship provides pre-health undergraduate students with valuable clinical experience, allows students to explore their career options, provides exposure to various cultural aspects in the health care system, and targets students who are interested in all allied health professions.

FACES in the Health Professions Club :
F.A.C.E.S. pre-health club was organized specifically to address the issue of cultural competency and ethnic and cultural diversity in the health care system. F.A.C.E.S. is open to ALL students interested in a health care field.
