Dr. Kurt Griffin joins University Physicians Healthcare, UA Department of Pediatrics

Kurt Griffin, M.D., Ph.D. has joined University Physicians Healthcare and the faculty of The University of Arizona Department of Pediatrics, Section of Endocrinology as Assistant Professor, Tenure Eligible.

Dr. Griffin earned both his M.D. and Ph.D. at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He completed his pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and his fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatrics sub-board of Pediatric Endocrinology.

Dr. Griffin will care for children with a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, at the Angel Wing for Children with Diabetes at the Steele Children's Research Center. As a Steele Center researcher, Dr. Griffin is interested in exploring the role of protein kinase A (PKA) signaling in the tumorigenesis of Carney complex.
